Antioxidant Cacao

Herbal elixir recipes Cacao

Herbal elixir recipes: Antioxidant Cacao

This is my ‘basic’ everyday blend, which I modify according to how I’m feeling. Sometimes I add a tbsp. of Maca if I want to do some focused work, sometimes some cardamom powder and a pinch of cayenne for a more spicy awakening mix.

I simply blend all ingredients for 30 seconds or so in my Nutribullet. If you have a regular blender you might need to go a bit longer to make sure the date is blended sufficiently. What you will find is the addition of the coconut oil acts as an emulsifier and makes a wonderful frothy delicacy and also releases certain compounds from the cacao that do not get released if the mix is simply stirred. So win-win! This beats anything your local coffee shop can create hands down and is a lot better for you! See my article- Why drink Cacao for all the health giving benefits of my favourite superfood.

1 tsp. of Berry Radical Antioxidant Blend
